West Ham are on course to qualify for Europe this season.
The Italian centre-back said: “I understand why the fans are dreaming about this because this is a big chance for us, but we should not focus too much on our position in the table. We need to keep our feet on the ground.”
West Ham have won three successive Premier League games, and are unbeaten in the league since the beginning of February, shooting up the table.
They have now lost just six games all season, and currently sit on 49 points - one point off the top four.
Europa League football looks a real possibility, and some fans are even dreaming about a finish in the Champions League places.
Still, there are weeks of the season remaining, and just as quickly as the Hammers have risen up the table, they could fall back down.
However, it is hard to imagine the Hammers collapsing in the style of some other teams, as in Slaven Bilic they have a head coach who can motivate his players excellently.
Everyone is pulling in the right direction at the Boleyn Ground, and the Hammers arguably have the most unified squad in the Premier League.
Few would claim that the Hammers don’t deserve a top finish given their form this season, and it appears as if the club are on course to record their greatest ever Premier League season.
