West Ham are reportedly lining up a bid for Oxlade-Chamberlain in the summer, but the youngster does not want to leave the Gunners for a rival.
According to the Mirror, Oxlade-Chamberlain has too much respect for Arsenal to leave them for another London team.
That puts an end to West Ham’s hopes of signing him, and means that they may have to look elsewhere.
Oxlade-Chamberlain’s future at Arsenal is still up in the air, though, as he has not progressed as was hoped.
The attacking midfielder was brought to the club as an exciting youngster from Southampton back in 2011, but he has never nailed down a first team spot.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has made a sizeable amount of appearances this season, but many of them have been as a substitute rather than a starter.
West Ham had reportedly wanted to give Oxlade-Chamberlain a more prominent role, but the Mirror’s report seems to suggest that Slaven Bilic side have no hope of landing the England international.
