West Ham United winger Michail Antonio said on the Goals on Sunday show on Sky Sports 1 on Sunday morning (March 6) that he and his teammates are not getting carried away with their recent good form.
The Hammers are fifth in the Premier League table at the moment with 49 points from 29 matches.
The London outfit are just a point behind fourth-placed Manchester City, who have a game in hand and currently occupy the final Champions League spot.
West Ham are in the running for a top-four finish in the Premier League this season, but Antonio has suggested that the players are not carried away.
The former Nottingham Forest winger, though, has revealed that there has been a discussion about Champions League qualification in the dressing room.
“We just need to perform and see what happens at the end of the season because it's been so unpredictable so far,” said Antonio on the Goals on Sunday show on Sky Sports 1 on Sunday morning (March 6).
"When we beat Tottenham (last week) we went a point off the Champions League qualification places, but as soon as someone said it, someone else said, 'Don't talk about it because it's going to distract you.’ I'm quite superstitious so I don't want to ruin it."
West Ham will return to action on Sunday evening when they take on Manchester United away from home at Old Trafford in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
Slaven Bilic’s side will then face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in London in the Premier League.
