Bundesliga outfit Dortmund will take on Premier League side Tottenham at home in the first leg of the Europa League last-16 tie at home on Thursday evening.
Owen believes that the German team will be too strong for Tottenham at the Signal Iduna Park.
“I think Spurs might nick a goal and keep the tie in the balance but this is a fine Dortmund side and I expect to see the Bundesliga outfit take a lead to north London next week,” the former Newcastle United striker wrote on Betvictor.com.
“Spurs must still be kicking themselves for letting their 2-1 lead slip against 10-man Arsenal on Saturday whilst Dortmund have scored 20 times in their six previous European games this term.”
A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: Dortmund to win and Both Teams To Score at 23/10.”
Dortmund are a very strong team, and it is proven by the fact that they are giving Bayern Munich a run for their money in the Bundesliga.
Thomas Tuchel’s side play very good football, and they will be confident of winning the first leg of the last-16 tie against Spurs at home.
The Bundesliga outfit are taking the Europa League seriously this season and are one of the favourites to win the competition.
Tottenham have a strong squad as well, but it may be beyond them to win on Thursday evening.
