The Dortmund star expects a tough battle against the Premier League side.
Now they will face the current favourites in the next round.
Spurs have been drawn against Borussia Dortmund in the, after the German side defeated Porto 3-0 on aggregate.
The Bundesliga side are considered the best team left in the competition by many, although Spurs would certainly push them for that tag.
It is a tough draw but one both teams appear ready to relish - including Dortmund captain Mats Hummels.
Speaking to Kicker the German international has made his feelings on facing a tough Tottenham side clear:
"I'm not someone who always hopes to get the easiest opponents and muddling through somehow I want the best, I want to face the best from the very first match.
"Should we get clear of Tottenham, it feels very different than if you defeat a team you are expected against with two simple wins."
Hummels will be tasked with keeping Harry Kane from hitting the back of the net over the two-legs, a task easier said than done.
For Kane it will be a test against arguably one of the world's best defenders - who is currently in fantastic form.
It promises to be a fantastic battle between two of the best teams left in the competition and it all get started this Thursday in Germany.
