Arsenal player ratings: Giroud, Walcott clinical, trio suffer injuries

Arsenal eased into the FA Cup quarter-finals with a 4-0 victory over Hull City this evening, but who impressed for the Gunners?

David Ospina 7 - Made a terrific save from David Meyler to keep the score level. Didn't have much else to do, but the intervention in the first half helped Arsenal enjoy a relatively easy evening.

Calum Chambers 6 - Rare outing for the versatile England international, but it was a comfortable evening. Didn't offer much in an attacking sense, but dealt with everything thrown at him either at right-back or centre-back.

Per Mertesacker 5 - Suffered a nasty clash of heads with Nick Powell and was forced to come off shortly after the half-hour mark.

Gabriel 6 - Like his defensive teammate, had to be replaced because of an injury. Coped well with first-half alteration and gave little away.

Kieran Gibbs 7 - Solid performance at left-back. Always looking to get forward and struck the crossbar with one 25-yard strike in the first half.

Mathieu Flamini 6 - Another who had to contend with switching positions but he is experienced enough for it not to be an issue. Went about his business as usual without any thrills or spills.

Mohamed Elneny 6 - Early booking could have restricted his performance in the middle of the park, but did enough to suggest that he is ready for another start against Watford at the weekend.

Theo Walcott 8 - After a dismal opening 60 minutes, came to life with an excellent assist for Giroud before calming slotting home Arsenal's third to confirm their place in the last eight. Added a second late on with the aid of a deflection.

Alex Iwobi 6 - Bright in patches, but did not offer the same threat as his teammates. Another good learning experience for the youngster.

Joel Campbell 7 - Gave Arsene Wenger another remainder that he is more than capable of holding his own in the first team. He offers a different dimension to this Arsenal attack and rarely disappoints when given his chance.

Olivier Giroud 7 - Was fortunate to benefit from Meyler's lack of concentration but forwards need to be in the right place at the right time. His second was a brilliant finish after being found by Walcott.

Nacho Monreal 7 - The Spaniard was thrown on at short notice, but fitted in seamlessly alongside Gabriel. Could have a role to play in the coming weeks after the injuries to Mertesacker and Gabriel.

Aaron Ramsey 5 - He had barely been on the pitch before he had to depart with what appeared to be a calf problem.

Jeff Reine Adelaide 5 - The youngster didn't have time to make any sort of an impact but valuable minutes in a Gunners shirt.
