Sheffield Wednesday are set to travel to Brighton & Hove Albion later this evening.
Wednesday are set to travel to the south coast today, as they prepare for a huge match against one of their fellow promotion rivals.
The Seagulls are currently in fourth place in the Championship standings, while Wednesday sit in sixth.
And Curbishley believes that Chris Hughton’s side will have what it takes to come out on top against the Owls.
“It’s a fascinating game,” Curbishley said. “Brighton have had their wobble, and now they have come back strong.
“Wednesday have been on the fringe of the play offs all season, but now they have broken into the top six. It’s a massive game for both clubs, but I think Brighton will win this game.”
Brighton were the early pace setters in the Championship, but their form dipped slightly at the turn of the year.
Hughton seems to have arrested their slide now, though, and Albion are back to their very best.
Brighton have won six of their last nine matches, to put themselves back in the thick of the race for automatic promotion.
Wednesday’s form, on the other hand, seems to have dipped of late - and their place in the play offs is under serious threat.
Carlos Carvalhal’s side have not won any of their last four matches, and they are under pressure to get back on track this evening.
