Sheyi Ojo has had something of a breakthrough season for the club.
In the FA Cup in particular he has been happy to use young players such as Joao Teixeira, Kevin Stewart and Cameron Brannagan.
Another has been Sheyi Ojo.
The 18-year-old, who spent the first half of the season on loan at Wolverhampton Wanderers, arrived at Anfield in 2011 from the now famed MK Dons academy.
He has featured in three FA Cup games this season - and even scored his first goal for the club against Exeter City in an FA Cup replay.
Now he is hoping for more first-team football under Klopp. Speaking after scoring a hat-trick for the under-21s v Middlesbrough he is quoted by the Liverpool Echo as stating:
“Hopefully I can impress the manager whenever I get the opportunity.
“I have to keep trying to do well for the under-21s, keep learning and push on from there.
“It was nice to get a hat-trick but my main focus was to get the three points.
“I should have scored even more goals and I need to work on that but it was a great win for us.”
Liverpool are still in the Europa League and face two massive games against big rivals Manchester United.
So perhaps fringe players will get a chance in the Liverpool team once again this season.
If so, maybe we will see Ojo in action for the first-team again before the season is up.
