Everton were beaten 3-2 by West Ham United in their latest home match.
Roberto Martinez has told the Liverpool Echo that Manchester United were the only team who have deserved to beat Everton at Goodison Park this season.
United beat the Toffees 3-0 back in October, and in that match Martinez’s side never got going.
Goals from Morgan Schneiderlin, Ander Herrera and Wayne Rooney provided United with a comprehensive victory on Merseyside.
United are one of seven teams to have beaten Everton at Goodison Park this season, and while Martinez is concerned by his home side’s record, he feels they have been unfortunate.
“I am concerned about the amount of defeats we have at home,” he said. “There have been performances at home where we didn’t deserve a defeat. The Manchester United one is the only one we deserved to lose though.
“If you look at our away form, we can get points anywhere. At home we should be getting points. That is what we need to get.”
Everton’s latest home defeat came against West Ham United, and the loss was arguably their most frustrating of the season.
The Toffees appeared to have the three points in the bag when they took a 2-0 lead, but West Ham turned things around in the last 11 minutes by scoring three times.
That defeat means that only five other Premier League sides have worse home records than Everton this season.
The Toffees' poor record in front of their own fans has rather plagued their campaign, with Martinez’s side currently sitting down in 12th place in the top flight standings.
