West Ham United winger Michail Antonio said on the Goals on Sunday show on Sky Sports 1 on Sunday morning (March 6) that Nottingham Forest are not doing well this season because the players are not clicking.
Antonio, who joined West Ham from Forest in the summer of 2015, has also expressed his love for the Championship club.
“I loved every moment of it,” said the 25-year-old winger about his time at the City Ground. “To this day, it’s my best season of my career so far. I just don’t feel they are clicking this season.”
Antonio was a huge success at Forest last season and was the Reds’ best player of the 2014-15 campaign.
The 25-year-old winger scored 14 goals and created 62 chances in 46 Championship appearances.
The Englishman had a pass accuracy of 60% and a shot accuracy 44%, and won 151 headers, 104 dribbles and 42 tackles.
Antonio scored two goals and created nine chances in four Championship matches this season before his move to West Ham in the summer of 2015.
Forest are 15th in the Championship table at the moment with 42 points from 34 matches. Dougie Freedman’s side are 13 points behind sixth-placed Sheffield Wednesday and have a game in hand.
