Manchester United fans react on Twitter to Adnan Januzaj's two-goal U21 performance against Oldham

The Manchester United winger impressed once again for the under-21s this week.

It is fair to say this season has not gone according to plan for Manchester United youngster Adnan Januzaj.

A loan move to Borussia Dortmund saw him struggle for game-time, with the majority of his starts coming in the Europa League, and since his return to Old Trafford he has failed to get the chances his talent deserves.

Perhaps most surprisingly was his omission from United’s match-day squad for their recent Premier League match against West Bromwich Albion, with the Belgian international exactly the type of player who can make the difference from the bench.

However, in Januzaj’s absence United sent on defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah and midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin in a desperate bid to change the game.

Just 24 hours later Januzaj turned out for United’s under-21s in their Senior Cup match against Oldham Athletic, and he scored twice in his side’s 4-0 victory.

Januzaj is not exactly inexperienced when it comes to first-team football, so why on earth is he being overlooked and having to make do with second string games when a place on the bench is surely the well within his grasp?

After Januzaj’s latest performance we took to Twitter to see what United fans thought and you can read a selection of what we found below:
