Harry Kane explains the fatal mistake Tottenham made against Arsenal

The Tottenham forward has been discussing the 2-2 draw against the Gunners.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane admits the north London side made the fatal mistake of dropping off against Arsenal when they were 2-1 up against ten men, according to the Daily Mirror.

And the 22-year-old acknowledges the fact Tottenham were punished by Arsenal, suggesting lessons need to be learned at White Hart Lane, despite a point against a 'top side.'

Kane told reporters: "We maybe dropped off a little bit too much and gave them space to play and we got punished for it. It’s a lesson we have to learn. But it is another point against a top side."

Much has been made of Spurs dropping two points against Arsenal and it's difficult to see just how the north London derby will be viewed with hindsight a few weeks down the line.

There's no doubt Leicester City are in pole position in the title race.

But a slip up here or there could easily hand some momentum to Tottenham, Arsenal or even Manchester City.

Focus turns to the Europa League this week, of course, where things don't get any easier for Mauricio Pochettino's men. This Thursday sees Tottenham travel to Germany for the first leg of their last-16 tie against Borussia Dortmund.
