Three photos that sum up Newcastle’s miserable situation

St James Park

Newcastle United are in real danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.

Newcastle United’s season went from bad to worse on Saturday afternoon, as they lost again in the Premier League.

Steve McClaren’s side suffered a 3-1 defeat to Bournemouth at home and are now in deep trouble.

The loss at St. James’ Park means that the Magpies are second from bottom in the Premier League table at the moment.

Newcastle have picked up just 24 points from 28 matches, a point behind 17th-placed Sunderland with a game in hand.

Against Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon, the Magpies’ performance was dire and left much to be desired.

The Newcastle fans seem to have had enough, McClaren does not appear to know how to sort things out, and the players are really struggling.

The three photos here sum up the utterly miserable and precarious position that Newcastle currently find themselves in.

One of England’s biggest clubs who regularly attract 50,000 fans to their home games could play in the Championship next season.
