Sheffield Wednesday lost 1-0 at home to Rotherham United on Saturday afternoon.

Sheffield Wednesday's promotion push took a blow on Saturday afternoon, as they suffered a shock home defeat to local rivals Rotherham United.

The Owls had taken only two points from the previous three games, and that run is now no win in four after falling at the hands of former Sheffield United boss Neil Warnock.

Matt Derbyshire's first half goal gave the Millers the lead, and the relegation-threatened side managed to hang on for all three points despite having just 35% of possession.

Owls boss Carlos Carvalhal will certainly be disappointed with his side's display, and he will be hoping to get Wednesday back on track on Tuesday night, as they travel to face promotion-chasing Brighton.

For now though, fans are taking to Twitter to air their frustrations with the display against Rotherham, and two players received plenty of criticism for their performances.

Winger Aiden McGeady joined Wednesday on loan from Everton on deadline day last month, but has yet to really get going at Hillsborough, with fans suggesting that he is unfit and has no chance of being in the Republic of Ireland squad at this summer's Euro 2016.

Striker Atdhe Nuhiu also bore the brunt of fans' unhappiness, with many claiming that the giant Austrian striker simply isn't good enough for Wednesday right now, and contributed little in a poor attacking display on Saturday afternoon.

Here are some of the reactions from Wednesday fans on Twitter after McGeady and Nuhiu disappointed against Rotherham...
