Patrick Roberts reacts on Twitter to Celtic-Rangers draw, Griffiths makes bold statement

The on-loan Manchester City forward is looking forward to facing Rangers, while his Celtic team-mate is hoping for a strong run of form.

Manchester City-owned Patrick Roberts is excited to be playing in his first Celtic - Rangers clash after the two sides were drawn against each other in the Scottish Cup semi-finals.

The Gers faced the Bhoys in the Scottish league Cup semi-final last year, with Celtic winning 2-0.

This time around, Rangers are a better team and Ronny Deila's men have struggled heading into the clash.

And Roberts, on loan from Manchester City, is looking forward to the cup tie.

Celtic top scorer Leigh Griffiths, meanwhile, has made the bold statement that the Hoops could now start to go on a run ahead of the Rangers clash.

He wants the same outcome as last season against Rangers, this time managed by Mark Warburton, and feels his side's quarter-final win can spur Celtic on.

Next up for Celtic is a Scottish Premiership clash at Partick Thistle next Saturday afternoon. Rangers, meanwhile, face Morton on Friday night - the team Deila's men knocked out of the Scottish Cup earlier on Sunday.
