Tottenham Hotspur would be wise to make a move for a teenager who had a weekend to remember for all the right reasons.
Tottenham Hotspur are in the midst of an outstanding season but their manager Mauricio Pochettino and chairman Daniel Levy will already be planning for the next campaign, with Champions League football well on the way to being secured at White Hart Lane once more.
While a new striker is likely to be high on the agenda, Tottenham would also be wise to bring in some additional wide players with Nacer Chadli in particular often failing to impress in the big matches, and as we suggested on HITC just last month Ousmane Dembele would be a wonderful addition.
The 18-year-old is currently impressing in Ligue 1 but on Sunday the Rennes youngster took things to a whole new level.
Going into the match against Nantes, Dembele had six goals and three assists in 19 appearances; however he quickly added to that tally, finishing the first half with a brace and an assist to help Rennes take a 4-0 lead into the break.
It was a sensational example of just what this player can do and Tottenham would be wise to make a move this summer before someone else does.
With a contract until the summer of 2018 he will not come cheap but Rennes will know his price-tag is unlikely to get any higher unless he signs a new deal, and if he continues to play like he did on Sunday for the rest of the season, the time to cash in on this wonderful young prospect could be now.
