King Power Stadium - Stormy

N'Golo Kante starred in Leicester's 1-0 win over Watford on Saturday.

Leicester City's title charge continued on Saturday evening, as they beat Watford 1-0 at Vicarage Road, thanks to Riyad Mahrez's superb winning goal.

The Foxes saw their main title rivals Tottenham and Arsenal draw 2-2 with each other earlier on Saturday, meaning Claudio Ranieri's men had a great chance to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table.

After a frustrating first half, Leicester did take the lead in the second period, as Algerian star Mahrez hit his 15th goal of the season with a superb strike into the top corner from the edge of the box.

Leicester then held firm to keep Watford at bay, keeping yet another clean sheet, as their defence continues to impress in the latter stage of the season.

Yet, despite Mahrez's superb goal and the resolute defending, midfielder N'Golo Kante again received praise for his own performance, having excelled against the Hornets.

The French midfielder had suffered a hamstring injury earlier this week, and wasn't expected to start, but was thrown in to the line-up by Ranieri, who was clearly confident that the 24-year-old would came through the game unscathed.

Kante was at his energetic best, providing yet another all-action display to not only broke up Watford attacks but set his side on the front foot in a dominant display.

The summer signing from Caen has taken the Premier League by storm this season, and fans took to Twitter during and after the game, raving about the performance of their star midfielder, with some even suggesting that Kante is the best midfielder in the Premier League right now.
