John Aldridge slams Roberto Firmino on Twitter... then reacts to his equaliser

The former Liverpool striker was put through his emotions on Sunday afternoon!

Former Liverpool striker John Aldridge was unimpressed by Roberto Firmino... until he scored the equaliser against Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon.

Indeed, the Brazilian could only produce a quiet showing for the majority of the encounter as the Reds struggled to create anything in the final third.

Aldridge then criticised the forward on Twitter for jumping out of the way for Crystal Palace's first goal...

However, Crystal Palace's Alex McCarthy then gave Firmino the biggest gift of all - slipping and kicking the ball straight to the Brazilian.

The Liverpool man didn't hesitate as he slotted the equaliser home and Alrdridge responded on social media.

Emotions were then high when Christian Benteke won and converted a late penalty, while Liverpool played far better after James Milner had earlier been sent off:

Manchester United's loss at West Brom later in the day completed a wonderful Sunday for Liverpool and, the way the Premier League is going, you can't rule out a top-four finish for the Reds...
