The pundit feels current title contenders could even end up outside the top four thanks to West Ham.

Jamie Carragher believes West Ham United could end up transforming the Premier League title race, according to Sky Sports.

After Saturday's action, West Ham were fifth, one point off fourth.

And the east London club were discussed in the Sky Sports studio as a team that could end up having a massive impact on the title race - with a contender potentially even missing out on the top four thanks to their form.

Carragher told Super Sunday in the afternoon: "Even West Ham are in the running. One of the sides going for the title could actually miss out on the top four. Because Man United are there and West Ham are there.”

What the Hammers have done is put together a strong run of form at just the right time.

Next up for West Ham in the Premier League is a trip to Chelsea and then a home game against Crystal Palace. After that, though, Slaven Bilic's men face both Leicester City and Arsenal, giving them the direct chance to determine how things will end up at the top.

After a season like this, West Ham fans can have even more hope ahead of next term at the Olympic Stadium. If the Irons can find a way of dealing with their injury problems better next campaign, there's the potential for even more excitement.
