Italian football legend Franco Baresi reacts to Harry Kane wondergoal

AC Milan

The Tottenham Hotspur striker scored a screamer against Arsenal today.

Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal went toe-to-toe this afternoon in a crucial North London derby.

In the end the spoils were shared between the two local rivals. Arsenal had taken the lead through Aaron Ramsey but a stupid red card from Francis Coquelin handed the initiative to Spurs at White Hart Lane.

They raced into a 2-1 lead before Alexis Sanchez raided a late point for the Gunners.

Spurs' goals came from Toby Alderweireld and an absolute wonderstrike from Harry Kane.

The England international came in from the left-hand side and hit s rasping curler beyond the outstretched David Ospina to give Spurs the lead.

It was a goal that got plenty of love on Twitter, even from a man who rarely tweets.

Italian legend Franco Baresi could not help himself:

Praise from any former pro is undoubtedly a boost for a player.

But from Baresi is even more special.

The 55-year-old spent his entire career at AC Milan, played 81 caps for Italy and is considered one of the greatest defenders of all time.

But even he could appreciate the excellence of the Tottenham striker's effort.
