West Ham United won against Everton in the Premier League on Saturday.

West Ham United co-chairman David Gold has taken to social networking site Twitter to explain why he is happy for Dimitri Payet.

The attacking midfielder was a key figure in West Ham’s 3-2 comeback win against 10-man Everton away from home at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

The 28-year-old France international scored the winner in the final minute and also created four chances.

Gold has suggested on Twitter that Payet bagging the winner against Everton is an act of revenge.

The former Marseille star suffered a long-term ankle injury during the Hammers’ Premier League game against the Toffees at the Boleyn Ground back in November.

The West Ham co-chairman has also spoken of the perfect storm at the club at the moment.

West Ham are fifth in the Premier League table at the moment with 49 points from 29 matches.

Slaven Bilic’s side are just a point behind fourth-placed Manchester City, who have a game in hand.
