Leicester, Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester City are all aiming to clinch the championship this campaign.
Campbell believes that the Foxes will go on to win the title and do what Nottingham Forest did back in 1978.
“I’ve got a funny feeling Leicester can do a Nottingham Forest with everyone wondering afterwards how they did it,” the former England international centre-back told 888sport.com ahead of this weekend’s round of matches when asked to predict the winners of the Premier League title.
Leicester do not have as good a squad or individual players as Arsenal, Tottenham or City, but they are still the favourites.
Claudio Ranieri’s side have been very consistent and have picked up points even when they have not played well.
It will be interesting to see if the Leicester players feel the pressure in the final weeks of the season.
Forest won the old First Division back in 1978 against all the odds, and it will be a great story for English football if Leicester win the Premier League title this campaign.
It will not be easy for the Foxes, though, as Arsenal, Spurs and City will push them hard.
