Leicester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Manchester City make up the top four.
Former player Robbie Savage feels Leicester City’s remaining fixtures makes them favourites for the Premier League title as they picked up 26 points in the corresponding fixtures, he wrote in the Mirror.
The Foxes have already played their title rivals home and away, beating Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium and most recently losing to a last-gasp goal at Arsenal.
Despite their defeat to the Gunners and recent draw with West Bromwich Albion, Leicester still remain top as both Arsenal and City in particular continue to uncharacteristically falter when it really matters.
With just ten games remaining, Savage feels Claudio Ranieri’s side are in the driving seat and highlights how their remaining fixtures certainly favours their cause compared with their title rivals.
“Based on their games left, and the points they collected in the reverse fixtures earlier this season, Leicester are going to win the title,” the former midfielder wrote.
“They are already the people’s champions - I reckon the majority of neutrals are willing them to do it - and there is no pressure on Claudio Ranieri’s men over the last 10 games.”
“On paper, their most difficult remaining game is at Old Trafford, although Saturday’s late kick-off at Watford is not going to be a walk in the park.”
Leicester picked up an impressive 26 points from the corresponding fixtures with their next ten opponents, with Manchester United and Southampton the only two teams who avoided defeat.
The East Midlands side’s next four matches are against Watford, Newcastle United, Crystal Palace and Southampton, and on current form you wouldn’t back against them winning the lot.
