Newcastle United lost yet again in the Premier League today.

Former Middlesbrough midfielder Robbie Mustoe has suggested on social networking site Twitter that Newcastle United should sack Steve McClaren as their head coach.

Newcastle lost yet again in the Premier League today, going down 3-1 to Bournemouth at St. James’ Park.

The performance of the Magpies left much to be desired, and pressure is building on McClaren.

Mustoe has suggested on Twitter that Newcastle owner Mike Ashley should sack the Englishman.

The former Middlesbrough midfielder has also named four managers who would be better than McClaren.

Brendan Rodgers, David Moyes, Rafael Benitez and Nigel Pearson are all available at the moment, but the question is whether either of them would take the Newcastle job?

Benitez was in charge of Real Madrid recently, and it would be a massive step down for the Spaniard to manage a club who are in the bottom three of the Premier League.

Rodgers has shown that he is a manager who is good enough to be in charge of a mid-table team, and the same goes for Moyes.

Pearson? Maybe…
