The former Liverpool defender believes that the Reds need to show consistency if they are to claim a Champions League place.
@RobjonesLFC2 do you think liverpool can finish in the top 4 this season?— Liverpool News. (@LIVERPOOLNEWS6) March 4, 2016
If we can put a run together, yesBut we have been inconsistent all season. Hopefully Wednesday was the turning point https://t.co/UMTCvGXKdJ— Rob Jones (@RobjonesLFC2) March 4, 2016
For most of the season, Liverpool have not looked like a team who can end up in the top four, but midweek’s result has given them hope.
Jurgen Klopp’s 3-0 victory over Manchester City at Anfield means that the Merseyside outfit are now just six points behind the fourth-placed Citizens.
It is not a small gap, but given how the season has been so far, there is a small chance that Liverpool could sneak into the top four.
It is not going to easy for the Reds, who have been frustratingly inconsistent. For Liverpool to have any chance of a top-four finish, they need to be very consistent between now and the end of the season.
