The England under-21 international will be hoping for more first-team chances for The Baggies.

In the summer Tottenham Hotspur explained that they had high hopes for attacking midfielder Alex Pritchard.

The 22-year-old had thrived in the Championship for Brentford and nearly took the Griffin Park side to an incredible promotion.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino was a fan and he was all set to become a fixture for the Spurs first-team this season.

Unfortunately he picked up a serious ankle injury and has missed the majority of the season.

Upon his return first-team football at Spurs was limited and he was loaned out to West Bromwich Albion until the end of the campaign.

Unfortunately his time with the Baggies has not been much better. He has featured just once for the club in the Premier League - spending most of his time on the bench for Tony Pulis' side.

This should come as no surprise. How a free-spirited and enigmatic player like Pritchard was ever meant to fit into a Pulis system is a mystery.

But he was in first-team training for West Brom yesterday as he looks to make an impact as a West Brom player in the weeks to come.

Hopefully he can get the first-team football he and Tottenham crave at The Hawthorns.
