Leicester beat Watford 1-0 at Vicarage Road this evening.

Leicester City moved one step closer to winning the Premier League title with a superb 1-0 away victory at Watford this evening.

The Foxes saw main title rivals Tottenham and Arsenal play out a 2-2 draw at White Hart Lane earlier in the day, and knew a win at Vicarage Road would send them five points clear at the top of the table.

After a frustrating first half, Leicester did find the winning goal in the second period, as Riyad Mahrez fired home a brilliant strike from the edge of the box.

The Hornets pressed for a late equaliser, but the Foxes stood strong and won all three points, meaning their fairytale season continues, and the prospect of an unlikely title win is drawing ever closer.

During and after the game, pundits were falling over themselves to praise Claudio Ranieri's side, as Leicester fan and Match of the Day host Gary Lineker hailed goalscorer Mahrez, before celebrating the fact that the Foxes are now five points ahead of second placed Tottenham.

Jamie Carragher claimed Mahrez should be the Premier League's Player of the Year after his 15th goal of the season, whilst two of his team-mates also drew praise.

Trevor Sinclair hailed his former Manchester City teammate Kasper Schmeichel for keeping another clean sheet this evening, as Leicester's defence continues to impress in the final stage of the season.

Finally, Rodney Marsh directed his praise towards centre back Wes Morgan, labelling him a 'titan' for another dominant display in the Leicester back line. Here are some of the best tweets from pundits after Leicester beat Watford this evening...
