Arsenal legend Ian Wright was surprised Eric Dier was allowed to stay on after committing a second-half foul on Olivier Giroud during Saturday afternoon's north London derby.

The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, who has been superb since switching from centre-back, had already been booked and many slammed the referee for not handing him a second yellow card at White Hart Lane.

Francis Coquelin had earlier been sent off for Arsenal and Wright seemed very surprised indeed on Twitter that Dier didn't go the same way.

Arsenal had taken a shock lead against Spurs after Aaron Ramsey netted during a first half dominated by home side Tottenham.

Mauricio Pochettino's men fought back - Toby Alderweireld and Harry Kane equalised and then put Tottenham ahead respectively.

But Alexis Sanchez made it 2-2 for the Gunners as the spoils were shared in this huge north London derby. While there was no doubt about Coquelin's red card, should Dier have been sent off too?
