Arsenal came from behind to draw the North London derby.
The Gunners were in control at half-time, winning 1-0 via a well-worked Aaron Ramsey goal.
However, the visitors capitulated in a mad eight-minute spell in the second half as first Francis Coquelin was dismissed for a second yellow before Tottenham Hotspur remarkably scored two quick-fire goals.
It looked for all the world that the hosts would go on to win it, yet Sanchez combined well with Hector Bellerin to superbly rescue a point for Arsenal with his first league goal since October.
Writing on social networking site Twitter, Lineker said after previously praising Harry Kane:
Harry Kane has it. It's as simple as that. And he has it in abundance.— Gary Lineker (@GaryLineker) March 5, 2016
In all fairness, Alexis Sanchez has it too. Plenty of it!— Gary Lineker (@GaryLineker) March 5, 2016
The Chilean international has had a tough second season at the Emirates, yet that equalising goal ultimately keeps his side in the title race and it was one of genuine top quality.
BBC Radio Five Live co-commentator Danny Murphy added: “That's a brilliant run from Alexis Sanchez. Pace, timing and a sublime pass from Hector Bellerin. He was never going to miss that from there.”
The draw keeps Arsenal in the title race, despite now giving Leicester City the chance to pull seven points clear of them at the top of the Premier League table.
As for Sanchez, what a way to silence the doubters after coming in for some rather harsh criticism of late.
