Production for the latest Ford Mustang has been pushed up two years, reports Mashable.
Less than a year after a major revamp, there's yet another new Ford Mustang on the horizon.
The latest 2016 Ford Mustang went on sale just last year, starting at around $24,145.
The next model wasn't scheduled for release until 2022. However, production is being pushed up by two years to 2020, according to a report by a group of accountants and consultants called UHY Hacker Young.
It's not that the new Mustang failed to impress; an Edmund's expert review of the latest model said the "Ford Mustang continues to distinguish itself as a muscle car with genuine crossover appeal." The average consumer rating on the site was four-and-a-half stars.
In a recent Twitter poll by Ford, 38 percent of participants found it "impossible" to choose between the newer Ford Mustang or the classic Mustang.
Ford could not immediately be reached for comment.
