The Russian international arrived from Manchester United in 1995.
The inclusion of the enigmatic Russian winger will come as a surprise to some, but for some he had to be present.
Kanchelskis arrived from Manchester United in 1995 as Sir Alex Ferguson cleared ranks for his top young talent.
He had previously been one of the most exciting wingers in the Premier League but the emergence of Ryan Giggs and co had him struggling for first-team football at United.
He was Everton's record signing at the time and he went on to have a fantastic first season at Goodison Park.
He was one of the best players in the Premier League that season - helping Joe Royle's men to a memorable sixth-placed finish.
He will also remain memorable in Everton eyes for his brace at Anfield against Merseyside rivals Liverpool.
His mercurial style and often languid appearance saw him become a cult icon among the Everton faithful.
Unfortunately it was short-lived. Kanchelskis left halfway through his second season in a big money move to Italian side Fiorentina.
It was a deal that broke many an Everton fans heart, especially those who had paid a pound a letter to get his name on their shirts for the season.
But he remains a popular figure at the club to this day.
