Striker Peter Crouch has taken to social media to congratulate his Potters teammates after they secured an impressive 1-1 draw away at Chelsea.
It appeared that Stoke had been on their way to defeat at Stamford Bridge after Bertrand Traore's opening goal, but in the closing stages, Mame Biram Diouf scored an equaliser to earn the Staffordshire outfit a share of the spoils.
Crouch was full of praise for the team after the final whistle, and took the opportunity to joke about failing to get onto the pitch in West London.
Well played @stokecity . A very enjoyable match to watch. Took my mind off the splinters— Peter Crouch (@petercrouch) March 5, 2016
The former England international's comments should be taken light-heartedly, but he has struggled for playing time throughout this campaign.
Crouch is without a goal in the Premier League this season, with the 35-year-old being limited to just one start and six substitute appearances.
He has only found the back of the net on one occasion - away at Doncaster Rovers in the FA Cup in January.
The result for Stoke has maintained seventh position in the standings, but they are four points behind sixth-place Manchester United.
Next weekend, they face a crucial match against Southampton, who sit just two points adrift of Mark Hughes's side.
