HITC Sport understands Brentford are lining up move for Wales international.
Brentford are eyeing a move for midfielder Andrew Crofts from Championship rivals Brighton & Hove Albion, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Brentford boss Dean Smith is desperate to bolster his squad during this month's loan window and has identified Crofts as one of his top targets.
Crofts has been in and out of the Brighton side this season and he could interested in a loan move away in search of regular first-team football to boost his chances of making Wales' squad for this summer's Euro 2016 finals in France.
The 31-year-old, who has battled back from two serious knee injuries in the last two seasons, has made 18 appearances for Brighton so far this term, but only five starts in the Championship.
Brentford have lost five of their last six games and Smith is keen to inject some fresh blood into his side to help them recover from their poor run of form and end any fears that they could get dragged into the relegation fight.
Smith sees Crofts as someone who will be a key addition to his plans as the former Norwich man boasts a wealth of experience having made over 350 appearances in his career.
