Tottenham Hotspur failed to win against Arsenal in the North London derby on Saturday.
The former Tottenham forward claimed that Mauricio Pochettino’s side should have won the match against their North London rivals on Saturday afternoon.
Spurs came from a goal down to take a 2-1 lead against the Gunners at White Hart Lane, but Arsene Wenger’s side eventually found the equaliser and the game ended in a 2-2 draw.
Crooks was following the Premier League match, and he offered his strong opinion on Tottenham’s performance.
"Tottenham have had a chance to crush their nearest rivals there and they let it go!” the Englishman said on BBC Final Score on Saturday afternoon (14:46).
"If you are going to win the title you have got to be ruthless but Spurs weren't ruthless enough.
"Looking at some of the players walking off they don't look like they've let a lead go. It looks like Spurs are happy settling for a top-four finish."
Tottenham did not play badly - it was more to do with Arsenal stepping up their game than Spurs struggling.
Pochettino’s side were favourites heading into the match, but the Gunners showed that they can step up against the top teams.
Spurs fans should not be worried about the final result and should feel confident about their side winning the Premier League title this season.
Tottenham will return to action on Thursday evening when they take on Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund away from home in the first leg of the Europa League last-16 tie in Germany.
