Arsenal fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to Mohamed Elneny’s performance against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday afternoon.
Elneny started the North London derby at White Hart Lane and played for 75 minutes, as the game finished in a 2-2 draw.
During his time on the pitch, the 23-year-old defensive midfielder had a pass accuracy of 80%, made two interceptions, four clearances and one block.
Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to have their say on the performance of the Egypt international against Tottenham.
Below are some of the best comments:
Elneny has to continue to start. I'm finished with Ramsey even though he scored.— DG. (@gray_afc) March 5, 2016
Coquelin has some big time grovelling to do.. Especially with elneny looking pretty decent today!! #afc— Sam Fletcher (@FletcherSam7) March 5, 2016
Finally a little bit of fight from the team. Really impressed by Elneny too. Hopefully the goal will kickstart Alexis. I'll take it. #AFC— Ryan (@rynmrshll) March 5, 2016
Arsenal supporters have also taken to Twitter to criticise the referee for not sending off Eric Dier.
The England international tugged Olivier Giroud’s shirt in the 79th minute and should have been shown a yellow card for that.
If the midfielder had been cautioned, then he would have had to leave the pitch as he was already on a yellow card.
Referee bottled that. Disgusting. Clear second yellow for Dier. #TOTARS— AFC Harry (@AFC_Harry34) March 5, 2016
Massive mistake from Oliver then. Second yellow card all day long for Dier.— SamW (@SamW_AFC) March 5, 2016
Why not send Dier off?— AhmedCorleone (@Aash_AFC) March 5, 2016
No card for Dier? Are you serious?— The Janitor (@ChloeMW_AFC) March 5, 2016
Why isn't that a yellow for Dier?????— Asad (@asad_afc) March 5, 2016
