Remi Garde says nobody is enjoying Aston Villa training

Aston Villa are currently nine points adrift of safety in the Premier League.

Manager Remi Garde has told the Tamworth Herald that Aston Villa players are not enjoying his training sessions.

Rumours of a rift in Villa’s camp have surfaced this week and while Garde denies any dressing room dispute, he admits that things are far from rosy at Villa Park.

The French boss claims that not even he is enjoying coming into work at the moment, due to the club’s terrible form.

“Enjoying is not the word when you're bottom of the league,” he responded when asked if Villa players actually enjoyed his training sessions.

"Nobody enjoys it when you're bottom of the league. I'm not enjoying it.”

Garde’s admission is a damning indictment of where Villa are as a club.

The French boss has been nothing but honest in his press conferences to date at Villa Park, but he has failed to inspire the team.

Villa have looked woeful under both Tim Sherwood and Garde this season, and their record is horrendous.

The Claret and Blues have won just three of their 28 league matches to date, and they are nine points adrift of safety.

Villa have never been relegated from the Premier League before, but they look near-certainties to be playing Championship football next season now.
