Martin Keown says the crowd at Tottenham are not angry like they are at Arsenal.
Arsenal legend Martin Keown has told The Mail that the difference in Tottenham and Arsenal fans at present is the patience the crowd at White Hart Lane have.
Speaking about a recent visit to White Hart Lane to watch Spurs play, Keown noted that the atmosphere is different to The Emirates.
He said: "I was impressed. Tottenham weren’t at their best, but it was noticeable that everybody there was as one, the crowd, the team, the manager.
"Nobody moaned or criticised. You could sense the belief and then the manager made a change, Alli came on and all of a sudden they scored and the job was done.
"At Tottenham they believe in that team for the first time. The Arsenal fans are not sure about theirs."
In fairness to Arsenal supporters, the reason they are impatient right now is due to the expectation around the club this season, coming into the campaign as the favourites of many pundits to go on and win the Premier League.
After Chelsea dropped out of the running, expectation increased, while Manchester City have been unable to take advantage.
It is Leicester City and Tottenham who occupy first and second place, and Arsenal fans feel as though it is their team who should be at the top, and this opportunity they had been waiting for may not come around again.
The same applies to Tottenham and Leicester's chances, but a league title run was not expected from either side this season.
