Lord Sugar’s response when told Mauricio Pochettino is better than Arsenal boss

Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal will face each other in the North London derby on Saturday.

Lord Sugar has suggested on talkSPORT that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is a better manager than Tottenham Hotspur’s Mauricio Pochettino.

During a discussion on Friday morning ahead of the North London derby on Saturday afternoon, celebrity Arsenal fan Piers Morgan claimed that Tottenham head coach Pochettino is the best manager in North London.

“You keep saying on Twitter and to me that Wenger is the best manager in the Premier League,” said Morgan to Lord Sugar. “He is not even the best manager in North London. Pochettino is.”

The former Tottenham chairman replied: “He (Wenger) is definitely the best manager. One swallow doesn’t make a summer, sunshine. Look at his history, come on, for God’s sake.”

While Pochettino has done a truly remarkable job at Tottenham so far, Wenger is a better manager than the Argentine.

It is the Frenchman who has established Arsenal as one of the biggest clubs in the world who regularly finish in the top four of the Premier League and qualify for the Champions League.

While Wenger has not achieved as much success as he would liked to in recent years, his work at the Emirates Stadium cannot be undermined.

It is easy to claim that the Frenchman should leave Arsenal at the end of the season, but who is good enough to replace him?

Pochettino could go on and win the Premier League title with Tottenham this season, but he is at the start of his managerial career and has a lot to prove before he can be put in the same bracket as Wenger.
