Dele Alli asked which Spurs team-mates would make good managers, picks youngsters Tom Carroll and Harry Winks

Tom Carroll low quality

The Tottenham Hotspur star gave a surprising answer to this question earlier today.

Dele Alli has no doubt made a big impression at Tottenham Hotspur this season. The former MK Dons star has probably scored the goal of the season, been integral in their title challenge and has become a star on the international stage.

His personality has also made him popular off the pitch, with the youngster doing plenty of media work for Tottenham and his own sponsors.

This week he was speaking to Four Four Two about everything Tottenham Hotspur and was asked some interesting questions about his current team-mates.

He was in fact asked who he thought would make the best manager from the Spurs team.

So one of the more experienced players - such as Hugo Lloris, Jan Vertonghen or Michel Vorm - or perhaps a Harry Kane or Ryan Mason type - two players who have captained the club this season.

His answers were actually quite a surprise. He went with two of the club's talented young midfielders instead:

"Tom Carroll (would make a good manager). Or Harry Winks as well, he knows everything about football."

Carroll has been a bit-part player for the club this season whilst Winks, just 20-years-old, has featured just twice this campaign.

But clearly they have shown to Alli they have the coaching nous and mentality to one day be a top manager.

Considering the age of both players however, a move into coaching would seem a long way off.
