Newcastle have a large group of players from France.
Ginola said: “They have so many players from one country, that it might be a problem for the dressing room.”
Whilst not directly referencing the French players, there are seven Frenchmen in the Magpies squad, the second highest number behind English players.
Whilst the English players will stand by Steve McClaren as head coach - himself English - it would not be a surprise to see the French players form a clique against McClaren.
Considering his struggles as head coach this season, it is easy to understand why there would be issues with McClaren as boss, and Ginola believes this large group of players is causing a problem in the dressing room.
Rather than having a united squad who are rallying behind McClaren to lead the team away from relegation, they are fractured in the dressing room with few people actively backing the manager.
Newcastle have made it their priority to raid the European transfer markets as they offer budget signings that cannot be made from English football.
However, this has caused issues in the playing squad due to the large foreign structure of the team, and McClaren is suffering with few players backing him this term.
