Hull City were beaten 1-0 by Birmingham City last night.
Hull would have moved to the top of the Championship table if they were able to win at St. Andrews.
However, the Tigers fell to a disappointing defeat in the Midlands, despite having the better of the match.
Hull had 24 shots throughout the contest, but they could not find a way to break down Birmingham’s defence.
The Blues were resolute throughout, and they managed to score the winner through Jon Toral’s deflected effort.
Hull’s defeat leaves them in second place in the table, with all of their promotion rivals still to play this weekend.
Steve Bruce’s side have now found the net just once in their last five matches in all competitions, and they will need to re-find their shooting boots if they are to claim a top two spots.
Davies and Huddlestone were certainly aggravated by last night’s result, and went on social media to post messages after the contest finished.
Very frustrating night. We have to be more clinical in front of goal. Still a lot more twists and turns yet— Tom Huddlestone (@Huddz8) March 4, 2016
