The former West Ham was impressed with Noble’s performance in the 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at the Boleyn Ground in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.
“I thought that Mark Noble had a magnificent performance,” Allen told talkSPORT. “He certainly has (been consistent) and he led by example. The other players followed him.”
Against Tottenham, Noble took two shots, had a pass accuracy of 66%, created three chances, put in one cross, attempted two dribbles, won 100% of his tackles and 50% of his headers, and made four interceptions and two clearances.
The 28-year-old is an underrated midfielder, but he is a figure of consistency. Noble is not exactly a ‘great’ player, but he gets the job done and is very reliable.
In 27 Premier League appearances for West Ham so far this season, the Englishman has scored three goals and created 36 chances.
The midfielder has a pass accuracy of 86% and a shot accuracy of 39%, and has won 14 headers, 20 dribbles and 51 tackles.
