N’Golo Kante could feature for Leicester against Watford.
Talking in a press conference, Claudio Ranieri has admitted that N’Golo Kante could feature against Watford on Saturday evening.
CR: “N’Golo Kanté today made all of the training session and was good. Tomorrow I will decide. He could play.” #WatLei— Leicester City (@LCFC) March 4, 2016
The energetic midfielder has excelled for the Foxes since signing from Caen in the summer, with his displays in the middle of the park a central part of their success.
He tops the league in nearly all defensive midfield stats, and his stamina is unrivalled in the league by all - except perhaps teammate Danny Drinkwater.
However, Kante had to sit out of the midweek draw with West Brom due to injury, and the 24-year-old’s absence was felt.
The Foxes midfield looked tired as the game wore on, and Kante would have fixed this problem if he was available.
It was expected that he would be out of action for a few more weeks yet, but Ranieri has admitted that Kante has trained well since the midweek game, and could be ready to take on Watford.
The extra day’s rest could be perfect for Kante, allowing him to return to his top class performances at Vicarage Road on Thursday evening.
