West Ham United forward Enner Valencia has suggested that he is close to making his return to fitness.
The Ecuadorian forward participated in training on Thursday morning as he steps up his comeback from injury.
Valencia has been out since the middle of February and he has recently seen a specialist to try to get the bottom of his fitness issues.
Valencia has missed a sizeable chunk of the campaign so far with injury, but it seems that he is close to making it off the treatment table again.
Valencia has played 16 times for the Hammers in all competitions this term and he has managed to score five times.
The 26-year-old has largely impressed, but competition for places will be fierce when he returns.
Valencia has the added complication of Diafra Sakho also making his comeback to full health, and he faces a fight to win back his place up front in Slaven Bilic’s line-up.
Valencia does return at a crucial stage of the season for the Hammers, though, as they are currently just one point behind the top four with just 10 games left to play.
