The Austrian is a contender for Miss of the Season following his nightmare at the Theatre of Dreams.
If Miss of the Year was a real category at the end-of-season awards bash, then Watford defender Sebastian Prödl might as well start writing his acceptance speech on the bus home from Manchester.
From two yards out, the big Austrian inexplicably headed a Ben Watson corner wide with 10 minutes to go in tonight's visit to Manchester United.
To make matters worse, Juan Mata only went and curled home the winner three minutes later to snatch a 1-0 win and leave Prödl feeling a bit, well, miserable - or so we assume.
Let's hope the 28-year-old stays off Twitter for a while in fear of stumbling upon one of the comments referencing his miss.
In his defence, there is a school of thought which suggests that he was fouled by Matteo Darmian in the build-up to the miss, but either way, he should be scoring.
Ighalo and Prödl need to take a look at themselves. Robbed. #watfordfc— Fisher (@TheKidFisher) March 2, 2016
How’s Prodl missed that?— Jonny Andrews (@jonny18andrews) March 2, 2016
Darmian hanging off his neck didn’t help.
RT ManUtd: 79' - From the resulting corner, Prodl heads wide from all of two yards. #mufc— DK EXPRESSIONS (@ExpressionsByDK) March 2, 2016
@LawaLaura yeah but how prodl didn't score who knows— WatfordWaffler (@watfordwaffler) March 2, 2016
In further defence of the Watford centre-back, his team-mate Odion Ighalo may be just as quiet on the journey back to London after he missed a host of clear-cut chances, with home goalkeeper David de Gea sparing his side's blushes.
The Londoners are 12th in the Premier League table, 13 points clear of the drop zone.
