Tottenham will take on Arsenal at White Hart Lane in the North London derby on Saturday afternoon.
“Arsenal have scored in 41 of their last 42 games against their north London rivals but, even if they find the back of the Spurs’ net, I’m not convinced they will get anything out of a game which is vital to both sides in their quest for the Premier League title,” the former Newcastle United striker wrote on Betvictor.com.
“You have to go back to October 2002 for the last time the Gunners lost four in a row in all competitions but I think Spurs can keep all three points.”
A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: Spurs to win at 7/5.”
Owen has also expressed his admiration of Tottenham on social networking site Twitter.
I knew Spurs were a club going places but today was an eye opener. Great set of lads, amazing facilities and a hugely impressive manager.— michael owen (@themichaelowen) March 3, 2016
Arsenal are not in a good run of form at the moment, and Tottenham will be favourites to win the Premier League game.
Playing at home will also give Spurs an advantage, and at the very least, they should pick up a point.
Both Arsenal and Tottenham lost in midweek, but the pressure is more on the Gunners.
Spurs have proved time and time again this season that they can bounce back from setbacks.
If Arsenal want to get something from the Premier League encounter, then they will have to score an early goal.
Tottenham are second in the Premier League table at the moment, while Arsenal are three points behind them in third.
