The Magpies will take on Bournemouth at home in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Former Newcastle striker Owen has backed Steve McClaren’s side to pick up all three points from the encounter at St. James’ Park.
“Bournemouth have only lost one of their last eight PL away games and I am a massive fan of Eddie Howe but if any side are going to get the win I think it will be my old club who desperately need all three points,” the former England international wrote on Betvictor.com.
A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: Newcastle Draw No Bet at 10/11.”
Newcastle are in terrible form at the moment and are in real danger of going down to the Championship at the end of the season.
The Magpies will head into the game against Bournemouth on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Stoke City away from home at the Britannia Stadium.
McClaren’s side are second from bottom in the Premier League table at the moment with 24 points from 27 matches.
Meanwhile, Bournemouth currently find themselves 15th in the standings with 32 points from 28 matches.
The Cherries are eight points above the bottom three and will head into the game against Newcastle on the back of a 2-0 victory over Southampton at the Vitality Stadium.
