Taking to his personal Twitter account, Martin Samuelsen has revealed his delight at training under Jack Collison every day, with the pair at Peterborough United.
Grateful for being able to learn from this guy every day! https://t.co/bQO4ZtZFYr— Martin Samuelsen (@samuelseen) March 2, 2016
Samuelsen is currently on loan at the League One side from West Ham, where the teenager is held in extremely high regard.
An exciting talent, Samuelsen has looked excellent in midfield in his 12 league appearances for Posh, and many West Ham fans want to see him in the first-team set-up next season.
Currently with Peterborough, Samuelsen is training with the club every day, and in a weird twist of fate he is working under a former West Ham midfielder.
Jack Collison recently announced his retirement from professional football, and is currently coaching at Peterborough, and is in charge of their Under-21 squad.
A product of the Hammers youth academy, Collison was also an exciting young talent, but a series of unfortunate events ended his career before he could reach his peak.
Despite this, it is clear he understands how football works, and coaching young players is the next step in his career.
Samuelsen is one of the players that he is coaching, and the young playmaker has made it clear on Twitter that he is delighted to be working under the 27-year-old every day.
