Bobby Zamora sends message to West Ham players, predicts Champions League chances

The former West Ham striker is encouraged by the east London club's success this season.

Former West Ham United forward Bobby Zamora hopes the club can qualify for Europe next season, according to Sky Sports.

And he says he'll be 'chuffed' for a few of the West Ham players that remain his close friends.

Zamora told Sky Sports News on Thursday afternoon: "I know a few of them closely and I hope they can get Champions League or Europa League. I’d be chuffed for them if they could do it and I think it’s within touching distance for them."

The Premier League table has left a lot of different permutations possible with 10/11 games to go.

Manchester United, West Ham and even Stoke City can all still finish in the top four. Liverpool aren't out of the running, either.

Form-wise, the Hammers are in a strong position - but Wayne Rooney's absence (plus a few other factors) seems to have kicked Manchester United into gear.

If Manchester City drop out of the top four, meanwhile, that takes away a Europa League spot as they will qualify for the secondary competition instead of the Champions League after winning the Capital One Cup.

Can West Ham make Europe next season - and properly this time?
