Reece Oxford was back in action for West Ham last night.
West Ham wonderkid Reece Oxford came off the bench last night to help West Ham beat Tottenham Hotspur at Upton Park.
Oxford was brought on with half an hour to go after James Collins picked up an injury.
While earlier in the season Reece Oxford featured in a central midfield role effectively against Arsenal on the season's opening day, last night he was given the task of playing at centre-back.
He did so to great effect, locking down England international Harry Kane as West Ham held out for a 1-0 win courtesy of a Michail Antonio goal.
West Ham are now right in the mix to qualify for a Champions League spot as a result of the win, with Manchester City losing at Liverpool.
Oxford's performance has only added to the buoyancy at West Ham at the moment, a timely reminder of his outstanding talent.
He has been used sparingly by manager Slaven Bilic, but has contributed to two of their biggest results of the season.
